Next Green Butterfly Market on Saturday 20th July!

At Green Butterfly, we are committed to making a positive and significant socio-economic impact on our local communities while expanding our eco-friendly Green Butterfly community in Ghana and beyond. Our strong social network built over the years presents the backbone that supports and connects Ghanaian artisans with the rest of the world. We strive to create a better future by focusing on economic growth, environmental sustainability, civic education, and social welfare.

Our Projects

THE GREEN BUTTERFLY MARKET

Ghana’s premier artisan event since 2010, the Green Butterfly market continues to be a major growth vehicle for many artisans and their families. The event is held every first and third Saturday of the month at the Department of Parks and Gardens in Cantonments next to the Italian Embassy.

SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAMS

We offer a variety of programs aimed at addressing the needs of our community, especially in the area of education and skills training. The Jamestown Soapmaking Cooperative established by Madame YazMeen is empowering Ga Dangme women via the art of traditional soap making.

MOTHER EARTH FESTIVAL

Vibrate your soul and awaken your senses at Green Butterfly’s annual Mother Earth Festival held every April at the Aburi Botanical Gardens. The festival revolves around environmental awareness, presenting various activities including health and wellness, sustainable shopping, a thrift sale, plant swaps, art, music and dance.
