Green Butterfly Empowerment Program
Nestled in the serene Aburi Mountains, the Green Butterfly Empowerment Program is creating a sustainable village where hope, healing, and opportunity come together. Developed under the Green Butterfly Non-Profit Organization, this unique initiative will feature a Skills Training Center, permaculture gardens, and an eco-tourism venue that promotes environmental sustainability while creating economic opportunities.

This is the vision behind the Green Butterfly Empowerment Village. The Green Butterfly Non-Profit Organization is creating more than just a village—we are building a community of hope, sustainability, and transformation.
EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH OPPORTUNITY
Many women in Jamestown and surrounding communities face significant challenges, including poverty, unemployment, trauma, and limited access to education and mental health support. The Green Butterfly Empowerment Village is designed to change that.
Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where marginalized women can heal, learn valuable skills, and regain the confidence to create independent and fulfilling lives. Every woman deserves the chance to thrive.
A VILLAGE BUILT AROUND SUSTAINABILITY
The Green Butterfly Empowerment Village has been carefully designed to work in harmony with nature while creating lasting opportunities for the community.
The village will include:
A SKILLS TRAINING CENTER
Women will receive practical training in income-generating skills, entrepreneurship, sustainable crafts, natural skincare production, agriculture, hospitality, and other vocational programs that open doors to employment and self-employment.
THRIVING PERMACULTURE GARDENS
Our permaculture gardens will provide nutritious food while teaching sustainable farming methods that protect the environment. These gardens will not only feed the village but also become a source of education, income, and environmental stewardship.
A ECO-TOURISM DESTINATION
Visitors will be welcomed into a peaceful mountain retreat where they can experience nature, sustainability, local culture, and handmade products created by the women in our programs. Every visit will directly support the empowerment of vulnerable women while promoting responsible tourism.
A HOME FOR HEALING
Perhaps the most meaningful part of the village is a dedicated home focused on mental health, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Healing is just as important as education.
Many women carry invisible wounds caused by trauma, abuse, loss, or economic hardship. Our programs will provide counselling, wellness activities, mindfulness practices, peer support, and personal development opportunities that help restore confidence, dignity, and hope.
When women heal, families heal. When families heal, communities grow stronger.
